Notion Magazine

Notion is a bi-monthly music, fashion and lifestyle magazine based in Shoreditch. I am the least cool person associated with it.

I edit the film section of the magazine which is currently called The Reel Deal. I’m obliged to point out that this has no connection to ITV’s popular antiques-based TV show “Dickenson’s Real Deal”.

Although I’d definitely be up for that.

Yeah, I don’t know. I spent quite a lot of time trying to come up with a really significant name for this site. In the end I gave up and stole a quote from the Daily Mail I saw on a flier for Billy Elliot: The Musical. Profoundly Moving, admittedly, is quite an ambitious yardstick to set for this, but we’ll just see how get on I suppose. Also, I’ve paid £22.50 for the URL now so I guess I’m fucking stuck with it. So, largely it’s going to be about films. I get to go to quite a lot of press screenings through Notion each month but only ever end up writing about a handful for the magazine. However, I also may decide to write about other things as well. Who knows, there’s no rules – that’s the magic of the internet.. Actually, primarily I want this site to be a platform for me to push my reactionary right-wing agenda. I’ll be doing doing that in a quite an insidious manner though, so you probably won’t even notice it.
