Profoundly Moving

February 19th sees the release of The Lovely Bones, Peter Jackson’s big screen adaptation of the critically acclaimed, best-selling novel by Alice Sebold. It tells the story of a young girl who is brutally murdered and then  watches over her family – and her killer – from the afterlife. Somewhat implausibly, Profoundly Moving in conjunction with Paramount Pictures is giving you the chance to win a copy of the book along with an exclusive poster from the film. Mental!

You can see the trailer here, looks alright doesn’t it? Peter Jackson has shown in Lord of the Rings and King Kong his ability to bring big imaginary worlds to life in vivid and compelling ways so it will be interesting to see how he gets on here with, well, Heaven.

Famously, despite being based on a story about rape, murder and adultery, the movie version is only a 12A certificate and has achieved this by leaving out the more shocking elements from the novel. So basically, if you want to find out all the ‘good bits’ you’ll need to enter our competition and win the book..
